Rebuilding A Strong & Sustainable Economy

Australia’s regions are the heart and soul of this nation. But for too long, we’ve been forgotten. It’s time to put regional Australia first—we need a strong, sustainable economy that works for everyone. I’m not here to talk about empty promises—I’m here to talk about real action to rebuild and reinvigorate our local economies, create jobs, and ensure our communities thrive.

1. Supporting Regional Infrastructure Development

Infrastructure is the backbone of any economy, and right now, our regions are struggling with outdated and underfunded infrastructure. From roads to rail, broadband to hospitals, we need serious investment in our regional infrastructure. I’ll fight to expand public transport, build better roads, and improve access to high-speed internet, so that our local businesses can thrive and our communities are connected to the rest of the country. Regional Australia deserves the same opportunities as the major cities.

2. Creating Local Jobs & Supporting Small Business

The jobs of the future need to be created locally, and it’s about time the government supported the small businesses that are the backbone of our communities. I’ll work to reduce red tape, provide tax incentives for regional businesses, and create more opportunities for apprenticeships and training programs, especially for young people. When our local businesses thrive, so do our families and communities. This isn’t about corporate handouts—it’s about putting the support where it matters: in the hands of the people who are building our local economies.

3. Encouraging Sustainable Industries

We’re living in a time where the environmental and economic landscapes are changing. It’s time for a green revolution in our regions—one that brings new industries, new jobs, and new opportunities. From renewable energy to agriculture and technology, our regions have the potential to lead the way in sustainable, forward-thinking industries. I’ll work to attract investment to build a sustainable future, I will keep fighting for our farmers and protecting Prime Agricultural Lan from CSG Mining threatening our food supply.

4. Regional Health & Education

A strong economy doesn’t just mean good jobs—it means good access to the services that make a strong, healthy community. I’ll work to improve regional healthcare, provide the support for regional health to reduce waitlists, and make sure our healthcare system is tailored to the needs of regional Australia. Along with that, I will push to increase funding for regional public schools so our kids have access to the best education and opportunities to succeed. When we invest in health and education, we invest in our future, our workforce and the long-term growth of our regional communities.

5. Affordable Housing in the Regions

It’s impossible to rebuild Groom’s economy if people can’t afford to live here.

Housing affordability is one of the biggest challenges facing our region, and it’s time we address it head-on. I believe Groom deserves its fair share, and I’ll fight to ensure 30% of Federal funding for Housing is committed to regional Australia, reflecting the 30% of Australians who call the regions home. But it’s not just about funding—it’s about solutions. I will lead efforts to build partnerships with the private sector, leveraging investment to deliver more affordable homes across Groom. I’m committed to ensuring that every person in our region has access to safe, affordable housing and isn’t priced out of their own community by skyrocketing housing costs.

Strong communities start with strong homes. Let’s make housing affordability a priority so we can keep Groom thriving.

6. Enhancing Regional Tourism & Agriculture

Our regions are blessed with natural beauty and unique cultures that the world wants to see. I’ll work to expand regional tourism, create new opportunities for tourism businesses, and make sure our regional communities can reap the benefits of the booming global tourism market. Alongside that, we’ll support regional agriculture by promoting our farmers and producers on the global stage, ensuring they get a fair price for their products, and helping them adapt to the challenges of climate change. Australia’s regions are a powerhouse of opportunity, and we need to make sure we harness that potential.

7. Attracting Investment & Supporting Innovation

To grow our regional economy, we need to bring investment in—both local and international. I’ll work to attract new businesses to regional Australia, incentivise start-ups, and push for federal investment in innovation hubs. This isn’t about waiting for opportunities to come to us; it’s about actively creating the right conditions for growth. Whether it’s through small business grants, tax breaks for innovative industries, or skills development programs, I’ll fight hard to make sure regional Australia is a key part of rebuilding our National economy.

8. Fighting for Fair Regional Representation

Canberra has been dominated by the big parties for too long. It’s time for real regional voices to stand up and demand more for the people who live outside the major cities. I’ll be your voice in Parliament, fighting for policy that works for you, not the political elite. You deserve a seat at the table, and I will fight for you every step of the way. Regional Australians shouldn’t be an afterthought—we deserve to be heard.

What I Stand For

A strong and sustainable economy is one that works for all Australians, no matter where they live. It’s about ensuring that every region has the opportunity to thrive and grow. I’m committed to rebuilding our local economies by focusing on sustainable industries, better infrastructure, and more jobs—and I won’t stop fighting until our communities are given the resources, opportunities, and support they need to succeed.

Together, we can build a brighter future for regional Australia—one that’s built on solid foundations, innovative industries, and strong communities. We can create an economy that doesn’t just survive, but thrives, for generations to come. Let’s put regional Australia first and get things done!
