Tackling the Cost of Living Crisis

The Cost of Living is Out of Control

Families are feeling the squeeze, from groceries and rent to energy bills and fuel prices. And while everyday hardworking Australians are making tough choices to get by, corporate profits are soaring, and Canberra politicians keep playing the same old games.

Enough is enough. It’s time for leadership that actually puts people first.

Suzie’s Plan to Bring Costs Down and Put Money Back in Your Pocket

  • Affordable Housing for All
Owning a home shouldn’t be out of reach for hardworking Australians. We need to stop property speculation from driving up prices and ensure first-home buyers get a fair go. I’ll push for policies that make it easier to buy, rent, and stay in your home, including better protections for renters and stronger investment in affordable housing.
  • Cutting the Cost of Essentials
Grocery bills, healthcare, transport—everything is getting more expensive, and the government isn’t doing enough to protect you. I’ll put pressure on the big players to lower prices, especially for the essentials that families can’t do without. You should never have to choose between food and medicine. We’ll work to make life more affordable by lowering the cost of the basics that keep Australians going.
  • Lowering Energy Costs for All Australians
Energy companies are making record profits while households struggle to keep the lights on. That’s not how it should be. I’ll fight for fair, evidence-driven energy policies that bring down costs and ensure all Australians—no matter where they live—have access to affordable, reliable energy. Investing in renewables isn’t just about the future; it’s about lower bills for families today.
  • Fair Wages for Hard-Working Australians
Too many Australians are working longer hours for wages that just don’t keep up. I’ll fight for real wage growth that ensures a fair day’s pay for a fair day's work, especially for regional workers who are hit hardest by rising costs.
  • Holding Big Corporations Accountable
The biggest corporations are making record profits while everyday Australians are struggling. That’s not right. I’ll fight to ensure these companies don’t abuse their power through price gouging or anti-competitive behaviour. By holding corporations accountable, we can stop them from squeezing families and bringing fairness back to the market.
  • Regional Support
We’ve been forgotten for far too long. Regional Australians deserve the same opportunities, infrastructure, and support as those in the cities. I’ll fight for better infrastructure, more local jobs, and affordable transport to make sure we’re not left behind. You shouldn’t have to travel hours just to access basic services. Regional Australia deserves better, and I’m here to make sure that happens.
